"Lack of Color"-Writing Journal

Sister Inspired: Years ago, I painted Stephanie a picture that read, "And there's a lack of color here". The painting was splattered with paint blobs and abstract colors, much like this journal. The original painting symbolized the inner struggles we deal with in our own lives--to the outward eye, the painting was in fact very colorful. But the painting itself felt like it was lacking color. Stephanie had this painting in her apartment in New Jersey, and since her passing, it has found its new home at the residence of Stephanie's best and oldest childhood friend.
