SMW Foundation

The Stephanie Marie Weymouth Charitable Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2024. 

At her very core, Stephanie Weymouth believed in the good of humanity. Her mission was to go out and do good in the world. At the time of her passing, Steph was a high school theatre teacher in Newark, NJ. She always told her students that the arts are for everyone, because the arts speak to the human experience. 

The SMW Foundation is committed to fostering and developing human compassion through the realms of art, music, education, acting, playwriting and mentorship.

Since it's establishment in 2024, the SMW Foundation has been able to award $13,200 dollars in scholarships to high school students who exemplify Stephanie's spirit and world view. The SMW Foundation is partnered with Drew University in New Jersey to administer (5) $5,000 memorial scholarships by 2030. The Foundation has also established performing arts partnerships in New York and Minnesota to foster the arts, and they are working to develop their advocacy mission against drunk driving.
